The Center Puertas de Castilla launches a sound lab for sound artists who want to experiment with 5.1 and 8.1 (Optophonic) sound systems. Its goal is to promote and sustain production, research and exhibition related to sound and space.
The program is addressed to sound artists, no matter age and origin, who want to develop and exhibit new sound projects. The applicants have to submit a project. As soon as the residency is finished, the resulting work will be exhibited through a concert or a sound installation.
Workplace: Puertas de Castilla Auditorium.
Audio system: 5.1 and 8.1 (Optophonic) multichannel sound systems.
Addressed to: Sound artists who want to investigate in multifocal spacialization of sound.
Accommodation: Non included, but information about accommodations in artistic hostels collaborators of Puertas de Castilla will be provided.
