Francisco Felipe is known within the realm of art by his performances and installations in relation to nature and landscape actions. Initially self-taught, he later graduated in scultpture at the Düsseldorf Art Academy.
He has also carried out studies on the integration of art and architecture, as well as landscaping. He has presented his work in many exhibitions internationaly. He started his sound work with concrete and electronic pieces in 1980, under the pseudonym La Otra Cara de un Jardín, releasing in 1980 a self-produced cassette edition under the same name (later reissued in an extracted version by the Spanish label Ortega y Cassette), as well as the 7” vinyl record Búsqueda de consuelo en los amaneceres fríos (1981) con la colaboración de Arturo Lanz (Esplendor Geométrico). Both distributed by Discos Esplendor Geométrico.
Together with José Iges, he established and directed the radio show Ars Sonora in the Spanish National Radio, during 1985 and 1986. He later produced a series of radio shows on soundscapes and participated in the Italian Prize with the work Tempus tempi (para la galería), created in collaboration with José Iges, as the Spanish contribution of sound pieces for radio. He has realized a number of sound works based on field recordings, giving rise to journeys through micro-soundscapes.
